Another Proud Moment?

It never fails that when we go to pick Kya up from school Boston feels like he's going to pee his pants. Well it got so bad that we had to use a empty water bottle. Boston was a little hesitant at first but then he thought he was the coolest kid ever. He even left it by the front door when we got home to show Daddy after work. And told all the neighbors and called Juju.

Where's your boobies?

So Kya was really sick yesterday with Strep and running a really high fever. She was too hot for clothes but didn't want to lay around naked so I found a little hand me down bra (like a little sleeper bra) from her cousin Emma for her to wear. Kya refuses to take it off now, and wouldn't even take it off at the Doctors. So this morning Mia asked her why she was still wearing her bra to which then Boston ran up running his hands across her chest saying " Yeah you have no boobies. Where's your boobies?"

Student of the Month

Kya got student of the month for the month of April after only being a student for 1 month! I was so proud I got a call from her principal saying what a joy all the staff thinks Kya is. It was a total surprise to Kya. I got the call on a Tuesday saying that she would be awarded her T-shirt and certificate that Friday. Of course Kya had to puke all over her class Wednesday and run a dangerously high fever all day. I finally took her to Urgent Care that night when Todd got home and she had a extremely bad case of Strep. We pumped her full of antibiotics and bam she was back to her old self in time to get her big surprise Friday. We were all able to be there for her it was so cute and such a proud moment for Todd and I.

Taking advantage of living so close

We or I have been taking advantage of living so close to my family. I've already driven down to Eugene twice in the 2 weeks we've lived here, and got to see my youngest sister's Cheer Comp. in Portland. Not to mention I've hung out with one of my greatest friends from school Isabelle and have plans to see more in the area. It's so GREAT!

Here's some pics of KaLeah she's the one on the left in the air

Another 1st day of School

Here's Kya's 3rd 1st day of School Picture this school year!

Kya loves her new school, it's a little different because she now only goes half day but she loves that they have Popcorn day every Friday and they even had a magician come in her 2nd day of school. Although she still misses her old class and has already sent them a letter.

Oh Yeah and We Moved AGAIN

GOODBYE WALLA WALLA

So we were supposed to be in Walla Walla for 6mos one day Todd goes to work and they tell him we'll be there an extra 6mos after the weekend he goes back in and guess what they tell us we'll be spending that 6mos in Portland! I was sooooooooo excited I was not the biggest Walla Walla fan although it was sad to pull Kya out of school we really LOVED her school. So in Short we were given 4 wks to move which turned into 3 which turned into 2! Yes 2 wks to drive over find a place pack and move. Luckily we are the Super Stars of Moving. Mimi came to help with the kids and day to day stuff and Todd and I went to town and we were done in no time. We had some guys come from the ward and the truck was mostly packed in 30min. Our Niece Mary was in Pendelton for the State Basketball tournament it was so nice to take a quick break and buzz down to watch her and be with family. Unfortunately we left the next morning and missed the championship they ended up with 2nd. But all in all we had the BEST MOVE EVER!! We have the best place in the best neighborhood the best church we love everything about living here. And our truck was unloaded by our new ward in 15min!! It was crazy they were AWESOME!

Kya's last day of school was also conference night. Our 20 min conference ended up being 1 1/2 hours, I'm pretty sure we were scheduled last for a reason. It was really hard to say goodbye. Her teachers tearing up and had nothing but great things to say about Kya which was such a proud moment for me. I don't think it had really hit Kya what was going on yet. But Mell and Loretta will be missed!

Sunny Days

We've been having a lot of nice days lately so we decided to take some time to enjoy our front yard area.

Kya's Soccer

Kya is played indoor soccer this year. It took her a while to adjust but she really enjoyed it, and it's a lot warmer so I enjoyed it as well. Here's a few videos from her season excuse my loud voice and the shakiness of my filming I usually had 1 or 2 kids on my lap.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was Crazy this year we had so many activities. Grandma LaDonna sent fun little packages for each kids with really cute crafts so that was fun. We also had a service project with the primary for a Nursing Home, heart hairdoos and then COOKIES. I made over 200 sugar cookies. Kya had 7 teachers and coaches in her class this year and we made plates and cards for all of them, plus more to hand out and of course some to keep... I'll be honest after all that work I kept a lot of them.

Ba Da Ba Ba Ba We're Lovin It!

We just had a great weekend with Todd's Brother Danny and his family. Danny coaches girls basketball and happened to have 2 games about an hour away from us this weekend. We're suckers for seeing family so we made the drive out to Friday nights game and back out on Sat. Saturday was a crazy day Kya had her first indoor soccer game and had a blast. She got to play Goalie for a quarter and thought that was the coolest thing ever. After that it was off to find Real Deals which is a store my Mom swears by and believe or not this whole in the wall town has one. Look them up online ladies they're all over the place. Then I got a haircut, paid too much for it but man it feels good to have my hair thinned. Then we left straight from the salon to Boardman, OR. I saved Jordan and the kids from having to stay for the boys game and left Boston and Todd in the process so we could fit everyone in the van. Once we got Jordan in the house we surprised her with an early birthday cake since her birthday is always crazy being in the middle of basketball season. When the guys got home we sang and dove right in. They stayed the night and then took off Sunday afternoon. It was so much fun to hang out again. My niece Lauren is about the cutest thing around she has this sweet little voice and she's a talker. She's about 3mos older than Reece. You'd think they'd be the best of friends but Reece spent most of her time tackling and smacking her. I can't believe I didn't get a single picture of our great weekend, but it was pretty crazy in my defense.

After a great weekend I took Kya and Mia last night to McTeachers night at Mcdonalds. That's where all the employees from the school work for a few hours and McDonalds donates a portion of sales back to the school. Kya has been talking about it everyday since the flyer came home 2 wks ago. She was all excited because she thought she would get to work there, but she settled for going and watching her teacher in the end. They made these huge sundaes and we brought one home for the kids to share. Kaprice REALLY liked it.

A New Helper Around The House... YIPEE

Kaprice has become quite the helping hand. Despite being the biggest mess maker she is also our best cleaner go figure. Her favorite things to do are help unload the dishwasher, throw away diapers, and most recently take out the trash.

Happy 28th Bday TODD!

While driving to my Aunts house after the Rose Bowl I realized it had passed midnight which meant Jan 2nd it was officially Todd's 28th bday! We woke up that next morning and high tailed it as fast as we could to start collecting our kids again. Mimi had a cake waiting for Todd when we got to Medford so we through a quick little party before moving on to pick up Boston and Kaprice in Eugene. The girls were so excited to see us, especially Todd because it had been a couple weeks since they had seen him because he had to work while we spent xmas in Oregon. We even were able to get in a quick visit with the Bennions as they pulled into town from there New Years vacation. After we left Medford we had one more stop to make before getting to Eugene. We stopped at Grammy's and she had some Christmas gifts for the kids. Really cute clothes and jewelry the girls were so excited. I was stressed that we wouldn't make it in time to see the other two before they went to bed, so we didn't stay long.
I was so glad when finally after a few weeks my WHOLE family was together again and the next morning after an hour or two of playing Tetris with Christmas presents in the back of the van we were off to Washington. I love visiting family but boy does it feel good to be home in your own space.

Happy New Year!! 2010

Todd and I had a very special New Years this year. We were able to go down to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. We had so much fun despite the Ducks loss it was a great experience and who doesn't love spending the winter outside in sunglasses and a t-shirt!

The mission was divide and conquer, we split the kids up the youngers ( what we frequently refer to them as) at my Mom's in Eugene and the older girls in Medford with Mimi and Gpa. Then it was drive, drive, drive. They had closed the pass the night before we left which also happened to be the same night Todd had his near death experience through the gorge. Luckily for us Todd made it to Eugene safely and they re-opened the pass just in time to let us through onto Redding. In Redding we dropped the van off with our friend Nick since it is on it's last leg, and then rented a car to continue our trip. It was so much fun driving down the freeway with all the green and yellow flags flying!

We stayed in Hacienda Heights and it was so nice. It had EVERYTHING including a Krispy Kreme down the street from our hotel. We got in late so we crashed and the next day it was off to check out where we needed to be for the game. It was great to walk around and see all the duck fans, we even got to see a few floats being worked on. We figured out our game plan for the next day (metro in) and it was back to Hacienda Heights. At 9:30pm on New Years Eve we decided to go see Avatar, we had just missed the regular showing and Todd surprised me by bucking up the extra $8 to see it in IMAX. AMAZING!! It was so cool, I don't know if I can ever see a normal movie again and I would recommend going to see Avatar in IMAX no matter the cost or drive it's worth it! So we walked into the movie in 2009 and walked out in 2010 not a super eventful New Years but it worked for me since I was feeling a little weird about not being with the kids for New Years, it was a great distraction.

New Years Day- GAME DAY
We slept through our alarm which freaked me out but luckily we hit no traffic and made it in time to get 1 of the last 20 spots in the parking garage for the metro. Since we made great time we had a little picnic out of the trunk and had fun watching the other parking garage "tailgaters"
We chose to walk from the metro to the stadium instead of the shuttle since the line for the shuttle was almost as long as the walk. Within 5 min of being there we ran into our friend Brent, it was crazy and I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a pic of Todd and him together. We met up with Jeff and Louise at our seats which were at the very TOP of the stadium. I was a little freaked out when I saw our tickets but really they were great seats, we had our own back rests and it limited the amount of crazies we would have to deal with. The game itself was a bummer, but we got out in really great time when it was all said and done. We decided to drive to my aunts and stay the night in the bay area.
